Full-day Tour : Trekking Y Linh Ho – Lao chai – Ta Van – villages with Lunch

Pick-up time at the hotel located in Sapa center only: 9am every day

Travel by Trekking and go back by car.

9.00 AM Meet up with your local guide at the hotel and start trekking. The first part is on the road but we soon turn to the right and walk on a small path down the valley to Y Linh Ho village settled down by the Muong Hoa River and from here to the Black Hmong village of Lao Chai. Black Hmong is one of the biggest minority groups in the Sapa area. They are proud of their culture and keep their traditions and way of living. They have their own language and wear traditional indigo-blue clothing. The H’mong peoples have just recently changed their living way from a sifting style to the sedentary one. So there are still a lot of traces of the past time that can be seen: rudimentary houses, stone walls around homes…

After that, you continue to Ta Van village (1.200m) to visit the Zay people. Zay is a fairly small minority group of about 38.000 people who live mainly in the mountains in Northwest Vietnam. The development has meant that some of their old customs have been lost but many women still wear traditional shirts with a purple, blue, or green colors. The Zay houses are built of wood and bamboo with a clay floor.

If you travel sometime between May and October, you will have a chance to observe and experience how the locals do planting and harvesting on the beautiful rice terrace fields of Muong Hoa valley, one of the most important activities in daily life.
