8:00 am leave the hotel at Hanoi Old Quarter.

After breakfast, drive you to Ninh Binh, visit Hoa Lu ancient capital where the royal citadel of King Dinh and King Le used to be placed. Listen to the tour guide describe the heroic history of Vietnam war defending the country from the mighty Chinese army.

Have lunch at a local restaurant, then get on a sampan rowing along the Ngo Dong river, through nine caves (Trang An Grottoes). While enjoying the sounds of soaring birds overhead and paddling along the crystal-clear waters of the river, jagged limestone hills jutting skyward out of electric green rice paddies will be sure to bring out the photographer in you.
