San Thang Thursday Market – Sapa Trek (3days-4nights)

Itinerary:

Monday Night 1:Hanoi to Lao cai by night train

Sapa Trekking driver will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi at 8:45PM. then transfer you go to Hanoi train station to catch the night train to go to Lao cai.
Overnight on the train to Lao Cai station- Soft sleeper in joined Cabin deluxe express Train 4berths with A/C

Day 1 Tuesday :Lao Cai – Sapa – Cat Cat village – Fansipan Mountain (B/L)

Arrive Lao Cai you will meet your local tour guide who waiting for you at the exit gate with a signboard written your name then take the car to go uphill to Sapa town. Have breakfast at the local restaurant.

Am. In the afternoon you will visit Cat Cat cultural village, just 3kms from Sa Pa town. A leisurely walk through the old village offers an overview of the traditional customs and practices of the ethnic Black H’mong minority. Stop by a stunning waterfall and the vestige of a hydroelectric power station, constructed by the French during the colonial era in Viet Nam. Follow a dirt trail snaking through the mountain and enjoy spectacular scenery while trekking along a narrow river until you reach Y Linh Ho village, home of the Black H’mong minority. Take a rest by the Muong Hoa Stream before climbing toward the road where your driver is waiting to transport you back to Sa Pa.

Pm : You will take a car from Sa Pa to visit Fansipan Mountain, the highest peak of the Indochina mountains. It normally takes people one or two days to reach the peak of Fansipan mountain on foot. However, you will take The three-rope cable car system which carries you from the bottom to the highest point of the mountain in 15-20 minutes. Fansipan cable car is kind of a modern three-wire cable in the world, the first time presence in Asia. Distance from the Muong Hoa Valley to the peak is 6,2km long, a total of 35 cabins, passing 6 main pillars, each pillar is away from each other by 1 km.
From there, you can enjoy the scenery and magnificent views of Sapa and can admire views of Muong Hoa valley and Hoang Lien National Forest from above. also beautiful landscape of Lai Chau province. Then, you will be transferred back to Sapa.

Day 2 Wednesday: Sapa Trek – Sa Seng – Hang Da – Hau Thao (B/L)

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel then start the day tour.
Met up at your hotel in Sapa by Sapa Trekking Travel Guide and driver for a short road transfer along the national road 4D northeastwards to the trekking point. Trekking uphill on a large and rocky path for 2 hours along the narrow valley which runs between two high mountains passing two hamlets of the Black Hmong of Sa Pa Commune: Sau Chua and Sa Seng. The Hmong peoples here have just recently changed their living way from a sifting style to the sedentary one. So there are still a lot of traces of the past time can be seen: rudimentary houses, stone walls around homes… Lunch break in the village.
After lunch, continue along the same trail gradually uphill the Den Thang mountain for an hour to Hang Da Village of the H’mong which sits at 1,800m height and over looking down the Muong Hoa Valley. Paying visits to several local homes.
Leaving Hang Da and enjoy an easy walk on high elevation for half an hour which offers a great view of Muong Hoa Valley until arriving to Thao Hong Den, another village of the Black H’mong. Paying visits to several local homes. This portion of the trek offers chances for taking the best photos of landscapes.
Getting downhill for another hour along a dirt track to the center of Hau Thao Commune. Picked up and transfer back to Sapa.

Overnight in Sa Pa: at a boutique hotel in Sapa

Day 3 Thursday: Sapa – San Thang Market – Sapa – Lao Cai – Ha Noi(B/L)

Enjoy your early breakfast at your hotel in Sapa, the trip will start at 7 am – Sapa Tour Trekking guide and driver will pick you up then drive uphill to Tram Ton pass 15km from the town you will meet sunrise throughout Fansipan Range Mountain with a beautiful drive over one of the most stunning passes in Northern Vietnam, continue travel directly to San Thang market with 55km, this is the largest market in Lai Chau From early morning, the ethnic people of Lu , Giay , H’Mong , Dao and Thai, in their most beautiful costumes, flock to the market with their diverse farm products. also animals such as pick, chicken, buffalo, duck, eggs, vegetables, honey, and cassava. and traditional specialties and crafted objects.
For the locals, the market also provides a chance for them to meet and chat with each other and even relax. Join in to explore the market and learn more about the ethnic minority people of Northern Vietnam.
After visiting the market we will drive ahead to Lai Chau, on the way will discover the daily life of Lu & Giay people who live in Hon village, , all the village are peaceful and the local people really friendly. home of White Thai people. we have lunch at the local restaurant.
In the late afternoon, our guide and driver will transfer you go back to Lao Cai train station.
Overnight on the train to Lao Cai station- Soft sleeper in joined Cabin deluxe express Train 4berths with A/C – Arrival Hanoi next morning around 5:30 AM.
