Details itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Ha Noi. O/n on The train to Sapa

PM: Our driver will welcome you at Noi Bai International Airport with a welcome sign: “Sapa Trekking Travel” and transfer you to the Hotel near the Hanoi train station where you can have a shower and relax. Free to have your own dinner. Then walk around Old Quarter (36 streets) to understand more about the local life here as well as discover Ha Noi’s beauties. At 21:00 pm, check out your hotel, our guide will pick you up at your hotel and take you to Ha Noi train station for getting a night train to Lao Cai on train – SP3 depart at 22:00 pm – AC soft sleeper Sharing cabin 4 berths (tourist cabins). Overnight on the train.

Day 2 : Lao cai Train – Sapa – Trek Cat Cat- Y Linh Ho – Lao chai – Tavan “ Homestay” (B/L/D):

6:00 Am – Arrival Lao cai train station you will meet our local guide and driver who waiting for you at the Exit gate of Lao cai train then we drive uphill to Sapa.

Have breakfast at the local restaurant before start the trekking trip.

Start trekking 3 km out of Sa Pa to Cat Cat village inhabited by a community of Hmong ethnic minority people. The village is known as a cultural site since many traditions and customs of the Black Hmong are still preserved to date. The traditional trades of brocade making and silver and bronze smith are still practiced nowadays by villagers after numerous generations of their ancestors. You can visit the Hmong women by their looms weaving fabrics, which will be later on dyed with sap from leaves for the desired coloration.

Next, your walk through the village will take you to Tien Sa waterfall where a French-built hydropower station has been in service since 1920. Leave Cat Cat village and trek a 5 km winding dirt trail by mountainside along a small river in a tranquil setting of hilly land with terraced paddy fields. Arrive in Y Linh Ho village, another Hmong residence characterized by simple houses built of bamboo and clay. Slowly wander around to observe and interact with villagers dressed in elaborate silver-studded clothing and leggings.

Trek down Muong Hoa Valley, one of the most beautiful valleys in Sapa with the largest colony of terraced paddy fields in the region. Wander through the valley to enter Lao Chai village of the Black Hmong minority people, cross to the other side of the valley to arrive in Ta Van village where you will have a chance to observe its inhabitants. Have a hosted lunch at a local house and enjoy tea chatting with the Giay people, small minority group only left in the Northern highlands of Vietnam – dinner and stay overnight in the homestay.

There you will stay overnight in local houses.

Day 3: Trekking -Tavan – Giang Ta Chai – Ban Ho “ Homestay” (B/L/D):

Next morning after having breakfast, the trek continues towards the Red Dao village in Giang Ta Chai. On the way you will trek up and downhill then through bamboo forest. The village of Giang Ta Chai is the next stop, which we will reach by following a path over a bridge. Lunch will be provided near a waterfall, just before arrival at the village. Eventually, the trek returns to the hill of Hau Thao village. then continue trekking to Ban Ho village. There live the Tay tribe with their special wooden houses on stills, which are sure to amaze you.

Day 4 : Trek Ban Ho – Nam Toong – My Son – Thanh Phu “Homestay” (B/L/D):

From Ban Ho trekking up to Nam Toong village. Passing the waterfall in Nam Keng you will arrive My Son village home of Xa Pho minority people. Continue trek to Thanh Phu of  Tay village.

Overnight in the stilt house of the Tay people.

Day 5:  Thanh Phu – Thanh Kim – Topas Ecolodge (B/L):

From Thanh Phu do the trek up to Thanh Kim village where you wil enjoy the panorama of Muong Bo Valley.

Day 6 : Topas Ecolodge – Free & Easy (B):

Free and relax in the lodge.

Day 7 : Topas Ecolodge – Supan – Sapa(B):

After a lovely night in Topas Ecolodge you will trek to Su Pan. Where you will take the car back to Sa Pa town.

Day 8 : Sapa – Visit Cocly Hill Trible Market – Sapa(B/L):

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel .

Sapa Tour Trekking Guide and driver  will pick you up at your hotel and transfer to Coc Ly Market – the impressive Tuesday market of minorities from the surrounding hills. The driving time is approximately 2 hours.

The market attracts traders and market goers from various ethnic groups; Dzao, Flower H’mong, Tay and Nung in surrounding villages. Stroll through the lively market to observe merchandise on display and people bargaining for purchase. From here, take a boat trip to Na Nen village, home to a community of Flowery Hmong people who is named after the flowery decorative patterns on their clothing. Picnic lunch at a local house

After lunch, a 3km trekking brings you to Trung Do village, a settlement of the Tay ethnic minority people and stop here for lunch at a Tay household. Take another boat trip about 45 minutes down the Chay river and enjoying sighting the riverbank landscapes. Arrive in Bao Nhai village where you will be picked up and go by car to Sa Pa.

Day 9: Sapa Travel to Ha Giang city  (B/L)

Cutting into Ha Giang Province Directly. On the route from Sapa to Ha Giang, stopover for visiting Ngia Do village, inhabited by Tay minority people. Enjoy beautiful scenery of the mountainous area, featured with palm tree hills. Arrival Ha Giang late afternoon

Day 10 : Ha Giang – Dong Van  Rocky plateau  (B/L)

The remote region of Dong Van and Meo Vac is a land of rugged mountains and beautiful hill villages which are unchanged for centuries.

Today we head northwest out of Ha Giang Town towards this northernmost tip of Vietnam. The former H’mong royal house at Sa Phin is a primary attraction of the region but the blend of hill tribe people’s colorful costumes and the majestic mountainous scenery make this long and bumpy trip an unforgettable experience. O/N in Dong Van.

Day 11: Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng – Meo Vac – Ba Be Lake  (B/L/D)

An early morning start to drive through the rolling hills and the picturesque scenery to Ba Be National Park.

We have time to visit Dong Van Town before continuing to Meo Vac which is conquered by the Lo Lo and Pu Peo ethnic minority people. They still retain their age old cultural traditions and are recognizably distinct from each other by their dress. The remoteness and the simple lifestyle of local people are a highlight of Meo Vac although conditions are very basic.

The roads are very bumpy and zigzagging however we will have a  chance to meet the Hmong, Dao, Tay and Nung ethnic minorities who make for the main population of this region. We are sure to attract their attention as this part of the country receives very few visitors. Depending on road and traffic conditions we arrive in Ba Be by late afternoon or early evening, but it is still an interesting day. Check in to the homestay and have dinner.

Day 12- Ba Be –Lakes (B/L/D)

Have breakfast at the homestay then enjoy your day trip in Babe.

The legendary lake of Ba Be is just one continuous water body although the name means” three lakes”. Today we embark on a boat cruising down the Nang River which is the main water source of the lake. This exciting river trip will give us a taste of the tranquil countryside and an enjoyable exploration of the Ba Be National Park. We traverse en route to the Poong Grotto before stopping at some nearby hill tribe villages and getting off the beaten track to the scenic Dau Dang Waterfalls.

Day 13: Ba Be – Cao Bang – Ban Gioc Waterfall – Cao Bang (B/L)

After breakfast today, say goodbye to the host , we will drive to Ban Gioc Waterfall.

We must be to make travel permission to the border of China for Visit Ban Gioc waterfall (the most beautiful waterfall in Viet Nam), on the way to Ban Gioc you have many stop for see as weaving cloth and dyeing with the indigo of minorities by Tay and Nung people. In the afternoon we will drive to Cao Bang Province.

Day 14 : Cao Bang – Ha Nội  (B/L)

Moring you will have s breakfast at the hotel then transfer directly from Cao Bang to Hanoi.

Today we have time to relax and travel back to Hanoi, through the amazing countryside, have lunch at the local restaurant, arrival in the afternoon, check in to the hotel and relax.

Day 15: Free & Easy in Hanoi -Departure (B)

Today enjoy your breakfast at the hotel then at the departure time, our driver will come to your hotel and then transfer to Hanoi International Airport to catch your flight go back home. End of Northern Vietnam Tour. Goodbye and see you next trip.!!!
